Jillian E. Daly Foundation Lax Game Set for June 16

Second annual fundraiser to benefit autoimmune disease research and treatment.

It's been nearly two years since 24-year-old Rockville Centre resident unexpectedly died from a blood disorder, but her family and friends continue to celebrate her life and memory.

And this year will be no different.

The second annual Jillian E. Daly Foundation Rockville Centre Alumni Lacrosse game will be held on Saturday, June 16 at 12 p.m. at the Dean Skelos Complex at noon. More than 60 alumni from Daly’s alma maters participated in last year's lacrosse game.

Following the game, a remembrance cocktail party will be hosted atfrom 6-10 p.m.

Jillian graduated from South Side HS in 2004 and Sacred Heart University in 2008 with a bachelor of science in nursing. She worked as a nurse at Winthrop University Hospital.

While at South Side, she was captain of the school's swimming and gymnastics teams, as well as captain of the winning 2004 "Red team" in the school's annual Red and Blue competition.
