The Irish Studies Institute at Molloy College Presents
Join the Irish Studies Institute for an insightful lecture discussing the multifaceted relationship between Irish-Americans and the Irish Catskills -- the choice vacation destination of New York's Irish and Irish-Americans for generations.
This presentation, by Brendan Dolan, will examine the development of the area as a distinctively Irish destination, and some of the factors that have led to its relative decline. In addition, it will examine the role of traditional music in the region as a reflection of the tastes of the Irish and Irish-Americans who created the phenomenon of the Irish Catskills.
Event will take place in the Reception room in Kellenberg Hall on the Molloy College Campus in Rockville Centre.
