Colletti K's 15 in 12-2 Win Over Lawrence
Lou Matarazzo and David Hawley each homered in the win.
South Side High School Cyclones ace southpaw Christian Colletti dazzled fans and baffled Lawrence hitters in a 12-2 win over the Tornadoes on Monday, pitching a masterful five innings with 15 strikeouts.
Every out recorded during Colletti's five innings came via the strikeout.
On the offensive end, juniors Louis Matarazzo and David Hawley led the way with homerun blasts of their own. Vincent Gallub and Kegan Healy each had pinch hit triples — two of three triples for the Cyclones — and Louis Laupheimer continued his great defensive play in center field, capped by a full-extension, diving catch. He then gunned down the baserunner to complete the unconventional 8-6 double play.
