New Kwanzan Cherry for ‘Tree City’
Village continues planting to renew its stock of trees.
Rockville Centre Mayor Fran Murray and Leslie Price, president of the RVC Conservancy, planted a Kwanzan Oriental Cherry in front of the new auxiliary police building at Centennial / Mill River Park. The Village's ongoing commitment to improving and renewing its stock of trees has earned it recognition as a Tree City USA from the National Arbor Day Foundation for 24 consecutive years.
