RVC PD's Scibico Named 'Cop of the Month'

Scibico was honored for a larceny arrest in May.

Rockville Centre Police Officer Joseph Scibico was named “Cop of the Month” by the Rockville Centre Police Department for his 3 a.m. arrest on May 9 of a man observed looking into parked, unoccupied vehicles in residential driveways.

The 18-year-old defendant was identified during arrest processing as a Crips gang member.

The arrest, for criminal possession of stolen property, came after Scibico stopped and questioned two males who were slowly riding bicycles and looking into parked cars early on May 9. During the interview, one subject admitted that a GPS in his possession had been stolen from a vehicle earlier in the evening.
