RVC Man Charged with Attempted Robbery

Reshad Cameron, 20, of Rockville Centre, was arrested late Monday night.

A Rockville Centre and Lakeview man allegedly tried to rob a 22-year-old who was walking home from the Lakeview train station, but once they found that the victim had no money, they fled the scene empty handed, police said.

According to Nassau County Fifth Squad Detectives, a 22-year-old man was walking home from the Lakeview train station on Woodfield Road on Monday when he was approached by Reshad Cameron, 20, of Rockville Centre and Bobrick Gions, 18, of Lakeview. Police say the duo knocked the victim down and demanded money, but when the victim showed that he had none, Gions and Cameron fled the scene. The victim then went to a neighboring home and called the police.

After the victim gave police a description of the suspects, a notification was broadcast and a short time later the suspects were located on Eagle Avenue at Arthur Street and placed under arrest.
