Nearby: Residents Robbed at Gunpoint in Baldwin Home Invasion

Suspects still on the loose after Wednesday afternoon robbery.

A Baldwin home near the Rockville Centre border was robbed at gunpoint during a home invasion in broad daylight Wednesday afternoon.

According to Nassau County detectives, around 1 p.m., a 19-year-old male and an 18-year-old female were in their Brooklyn Avenue home when there was a knock on the door. The 19-year-old opened the door and saw an unknown male suspect who displayed a black handgun.

The suspect entered the home and ordered the victims to lie on the floor in the kitchen, police said.

After the suspect with the gun entered the home, three additional unknown suspects followed him in, police said. They went to a bedroom where they removed cell phones, an unknown amount of cash, an Xbox video game system and jewelry box containing assorted jewelry.

The suspects fled the scene by unknown means, police said. No injuries were reported and there is no further description of the suspects.
