Man Robbed on Hempstead Avenue

Police are looking for two men involved in the Monday night crime.

Nassau County police are investigating a Rockville Centre robbery that took place on Hempstead Avenue.

According to police, a 42-year-old man was in front of 1000 Hempstead Ave. when he was approached by two people who exited a dark-colored vehicle, demanded money and punched him in the face.

The victim fled and the subjects chased him, forced him to the ground and removed his wallet from his pocket.

The subjects then fled in the vehicle in an unknown direction.

No injuries were reported.

Police said the subjects are described as two black men, 18-to-22 years of age and about five-foot-six inches tall. One man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, while the other man was wearing a black baseball cap with red lettering.
