March 26 — at 5:05 p.m., Robert J. Hallam, 20, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to signal a turn (two counts) on Catherine Street.

March 26 — at 8:43 p.m., Kathryn L. Johnson, 19, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with aggravated harassment and criminal mischief on Sunrise Highway.

March 27 — at 12:30 p.m., Maxamillian B. Schwalen, 21, of New York, NY was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, speeding (school zone) and improperly fasten registration plate on Merrick Road.

Case Reports

Found Property — At 9:30 p.m. on March 24, a bicycle was recovered in front of 105 Wood St. The bicycle is a red, 20-inch BMX style bicycle, and was transported to the for safekeeping.

Found Property — At 9:30 p.m. on March 26 a NYS Registration Plate reported lost in Massapequa Park on April 20, 2011 was recovered on Horton Avenue.   

Burglary — At 11:50 p.m. on April 2, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) pried open the rear door of their business, L.I.A., located at 68 Atlantic Ave. and removed two large garbage bags containing designer eyeglasses. The total amount of eyeglasses and their value is unknown at this time. Both subjects, who were observed on video, are described as white men wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts and black gloves.
