Crime Watch: Thai Table Burglarized, Neighborly Threat

Recent police activity as reported by the RVCPD.

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • On May 25 at 10:42 p.m., Frederick Oliver, 50, of Long Beach, was arrested for petit larceny that occurred in Hempstead on May 8 following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Front Street in Rockville Centre.
  • On May 26 at 3:06 a.m., Michael A. Benko, 21, of Millerton, N.Y., was arrested for driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of marijuana and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Merrick Road and N. Centre Avenue in Rockville Centre.
ABC Violation
  • On May 25 at 4:09 a.m., Scott Bruguelas, 25, of Long Beach, was issued an appearance ticket for ABC violation disorderly premise following a disturbance investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of The Beach House, located 21A S. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.
Burglary
  • On May 25 at 1:15 a.m., the owner from Thai Table, located at 88A N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre, reported that sometime since 11:10 p.m. on May 24, an unknown person(s) damaged the glass front door to the restaurant and removed $150 from the cash register.
Harassment
  • On May 21 at 11 a.m., a Rockville Centre resident from Hamilton Street reported his rear neighbor threatened him after he cut branches that were hanging over his property.
  • On May 23 at 10:14 a.m., a complainant from Elmont reported that she received voicemail messages while working at Front Street in Rockville Centre from a male residing in Woodmere causing annoyance and alarm.
  • On May 23 at 4:15 p.m., a complainant from Banks Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that he received telephone calls from a female acquaintance causing annoyance and alarm.
  • On May 26 at 4:41 p.m., a complainant from Jamaica reported that she was harassed by two unknown males while working at Subway, located at 88 N. Village Ave., Rockville Centre causing annoyance and alarm.
