Crime Watch Part Two: Property Damage and $15k in Forged Checks

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Criminal Mischief:

On Nov. 9, a complainant from Laurel Avenue in Levittown reported that sometime between Nov. 8 at 9 p.m. and Nov. 9 at 8:40 a.m., unknown person(s) damaged the front passenger side window of his 2007 Toyota and stole a GPS while the vehicle was parked in the rear of 22 N. Forest Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On Nov. 14 at 12:05 p.m., complainant employee of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, located at 50 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre, reported that unknown person(s) damaged a glass double pane to a ground level window sometime between Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. and Nov. 12 at 9 a.m.

Property Damage:

On Nov. 7, a complainant from Watson School, located at 277 N. Centre Ave. in Rockville Centre, reported that a plywood animal decoration located on the front lawn of the school was found broken by unknown means sometime between Nov. 4 at 3:30 p.m. and Nov. 7 at 9 a.m.

On Nov. 7, a complainant from Revere Street in Rockville Centre reported that a passenger side mirror to his 2010 Chevrolet was found to have been damaged by unknown means sometime between 6:25 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

On Nov. 10 at 10:45 a.m., a complainant from Milburn Avenue in Baldwin reported that the driver side bumper to his 2010 BMW was damaged by unknown means sometime between 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. while parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 1 in Rockville Centre.

Graffiti:

On Nov. 8 at 8:10 a.m., police personnel located graffiti on a traffic control box at the northeast corner of N. Village Avenue and Maine Avenue in Rockville Centre.

Unusual Incident:

On Nov. 8 at 9 a.m., a complainant from Cedar Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) cashed ten checks against his Astoria Federal Savings Bank checking account totaling $15,299.44 without authorization.

Harassment:

On Nov. 13 at 11:50 a.m., a Hendrickson Avenue Rockville Centre resident reported she has been receiving repeated unwanted telephone calls and texts from an unknown male.

On Nov. 13 at 3:30 p.m, an Oxford Road Rockville Centre resident reported she received an alarming telephone call on Nov. 12 at 11:20 p.m.

On Nov. 12 at 1:13 a.m., a complainant from E. Broadway in Hewlett reported that he was punched by unknown person(s) while in RJ Daniel’s, located at 279 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

Found Property:

On Nov. 4 at 10:45 a.m., a complainant from Muirfield Road in Rockville Centre reported that she found a Raleigh mountain bicycle in her side yard.
