Crime Watch Part Two: License Plates Stolen From Multiple Cars

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Larceny:

On July 3 at 4:10 p.m., a complainant from Wilson Avenue in Lynbrook reported that sometime between 2:45 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., unknown person(s) stole property including an iPod, iPhone and $45 from her unlocked Dodge parked at Skelos Field in Rockville Centre.

On July 5 at 1:30 p.m., a complainant from Raymond Street in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between July 4 at 11:15 p.m. and July 5 at 5:30 a.m., unknown persons damaged two passenger side windows to his 2012 GMC parked in the driveway and stole a Garmin GPS valued at $300.

On July 5 at 7:30 p.m., a complainant from Wright Road in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between June 27 at 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. and June 29 at 7 p.m., unknown persons stole a purple 2010 Raleigh Ivy mountain bicycle valued at $350 from his residence.

On July 6 at 4 a.m., a complainant from S. Forest Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 2:45 a.m., unknown persons stole two license plates from her 2012 Nissan parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 1 in Rockville Centre.

On July 6 at 11:52 a.m., a complainant from Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica reported that sometime between June 29 at 9:30 p.m. and July 5 at 6:15 p.m., unknown persons stole a license plate and license plate frame from his 2003 Jaguar parked at 131 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On July 6 at 10:52 a.m. a complainant from 187 Place in Hollis reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., unknown persons stole two NYS license plates from his 2002 Nissan while parked in Municipal Parking Field No. 12 in Rockville Centre.

On July 6 at 8:20 p.m., a complainant from Lakeside Drive in Rockville Centre reported that unknown persons stole a Ross 10 speed bicycle valued at $40 from the bicycle rack at Front Street and N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre.


Criminal Mischief:

On July 7 at 6:01 a.m., a complainant from Fairbanks Avenue in Bay Shore reported that sometime between July 6 at 6:45 p.m. and July 7 at 6 a.m., unknown persons damaged the driver side window to his 2007 Honda while parked at Mercy Medical Center, 1000 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On July 7 at 6:01 a.m., a complainant from Lake Shore Drive in Massapequa Park reported that sometime between July 6 at 7 p.m. and July 7 at 5:40 a.m., unknown persons damaged the passenger side window to his 1998 Subaru while parked at Mercy Medical Center, 1000 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On July 7 at 6:01 a.m., a complainant from 80th St. in Howard Beach reported that sometime between July 6 ar 6:45 p.m. and July 7 at 6:30 a.m., unknown persons damaged the driver side window to her 2006 Volvo and stole an iPhone charger valued at $35 while parked at Mercy Medical Center, 1000 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

Graffiti:

On July 6 at 11:55 a.m., a complainant reported that graffiti had been observed at five locations with the Village of Rockville Centre. Police personnel identified the locations and photographed the graffiti for follow up.

Property Damage:

On July 7 at 9 a.m., a complainant from N. Long Beach Road in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) damaged a window to his residence with a golf ball that apparently came from the golf course across the street.

Recovered Stolen MV:

On July 3 at 1:22 p.m., an abandoned 2001 ME/BZ motor vehicle with Pennsylvania license plates and keys in auto that was reported stolen in the Nassau County First Precinct was recovered at the Central Synagogue 430 DeMott Ave. in Rockville Centre.
