Crime Watch: Facebook Hack, Harassment by Neighbors

Crime Watch Part I: Facebook hacked, car damage, neighborly harassment, lost wallet containing $1,500 in Rockville Centre last week.

The following information was supplied by the Rockville Centre Police Department. 

Harassment

  • Dec. 31: At 8:08 p.m., a complainant from Clinton Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that she was harassed by a neighbor causing annoyance and alarm.

Property Damage

  • Dec. 31: At 12:55 p.m., a complainant from Indiana Avenue, Long Beach reported that the driver side front to her 2006 Nissan motor vehicle was damaged by unknown means while parked in front of 500 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre between 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.
  • Jan. 4: At 4:24 p.m., a complainant from 486 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre reported that a water pipe had burst causing damage to the bakery.

  • Jan. 2: Acomplainant from Raymond Street, Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) opened a Facebook account using her personal information and posted derogatory remarks without permission.

Property Lost

  • Dec. 31: At 9:35 a.m., a complainant from Euston Road S. Garden City reported that on Dec. 28, he lost a wallet containing $1,500.00 while in the vicinity of 74 N. Long Beach Road, Rockville Centre.
