Crime Watch: Assault and Narcotics Arrests
Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.
The following information was supplied by the RVC Police. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
Arrests:
On Oct. 19 at 1 a.m., Shaquana N. Basnight, 28, of Hempstead, was arrested for RC Village Code violation After Hours in Park and an open bench warrant following a police investigation at Morgan Days Park in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 19 at 12:55 a.m., Christopher A. Smith, 25, of Rockville Centre, was arrested for RC Village Code violation After Hours in Park and an open bench warrant following a police investigation at Morgan Days Park, Rockville Centre.
On Oct. 19 at 4 a.m., Freddy A. Heredia, 29, of Long Beach, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a police investigation on Long Beach Road and Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 22 at 9:44 a.m., James M. Comuniello, 54, of Deer Park, was arrested for disorderly conduct and unlawfully consuming alcohol in public following a police investigation on N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre.
On Oct. 23 at 3:15 a.m., Janine M. Ortiz, 33, of Huntington, was arrested for second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon following a police investigation at Kasey’s, located at 23 N. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.
On Oct. 24 at 6:45 p.m., Lisa A. Athan, 21, of Oceanside, was arrested for petit larceny following a police investigation at King Kullen, located at 127 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.
On Oct. 22 at 2:43 a.m., Neville R. Wynter, 49, of Laurelton, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and VTL violations following a police investigation at Merrick Road and S. Kensington Avenue in Rockville Centre.
Burglary:
On Oct. 19 at 8:12 a.m., a complainant from Merrick Road in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between Oct. 18 at 7:10 p.m. and Oct. 19 at 7:50 a.m., unknown person(s) damaged a rear window at his place of business on Merrick Road and stole property to include a Sony laptop computer.
On Oct. 24 at 7:50 p.m., a complainant from Plymouth Road in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) damaged a glass pane window to a door located within a screened porch in the rear of her residence sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m.. There was no reported loss at the time of report.
