  • On June 1 at 4:05 p.m., John Colin, 18, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, making graffiti and possession of a graffiti instrument. The alleged crimes occurred on the Greis Park Exercise Trail and Bike Path in Lynbrook, police said.
  • On June 2 at 6:53 p.m., Leonardo Gonzalez, 21, of Long Beach, was arrested and charged with assault. The alleged crime occurred at a residence on Broadway in Lynbrook, police said.
  • On June 5 at 9 a.m., Gladys Meredith, 38, of Uniondale, was arrested on Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook and charged with DWI.
  • On June 6 at 11:02 p.m., Francisco Herrera, 27, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Merrick Road in Lynbrook.
  • On June 7 at 4:24 p.m., Tiffany Cunningham, 28, of Springfield Gardens, was arrested and charged with third-degree robbery. The alleged crime occurred at Sally’s Beauty Supply on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.
  • On June 7 at 10:12 p.m., Li Ping Chen, 37, of Flushing, was arrested and charged with prostitution at the Lynbrook Capri Motor Inn.
  • On June 7 at 10:20 p.m., Ralph Dename, 54, of East Rockaway, was arrested and charged with patronizing a prostitute at the Lynbrook Capri Motor Inn.

Malverne/West Hempstead

Home Burglaries:

  • On May 26, a burglary was reported at a home on Lindberg Street in West Hempstead.
  • On May 24, a home on East Maujer Street in Valley Stream reported a burglary.
  • On May 27, police received a report of a burglary at a home on Crown Avenue in Elmont.

Business Burglaries:

  • On May 30 and May 31, two Franklin Square businesses were burglarized - Maria's Deli on Hempstead Turnpike and Holiday Cards and Gifts on Franklin Avenue.
  • On May 27, a burglary was reported at Belmont Race Track in Elmont.

Grand Larcenies:

  • On May 27, cars were stolen from Maplewood Street in West Hempstead, Elmont Road in Elmont, and Station Plaza and Cripps Lane in Valley Stream.
