2. Long Island’s Boy Scouts of America will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Eagle Scout Award with a parade and ceremony on Saturday in the village. The parade route will be from Randall Avenue Parking Field No. 2 to Arthur R. Eldred Park at the corner of North Centre Avenue and Parkwood. The first Eagle Scout in the country was Arthur Rose Eldred, who was based out of Troop 1 in Rockville Centre.
