Long Island Special Needs Expo Strives To Connect The Community This Sunday

Long Island Special Needs Expo strives to connect the special needs community with the resources it needs. An impressive list of speakers, vendors and kids activities will fill the day

Just like most movements, it starts with one or more people being frustrated. Frustrated about the lack of information available for a specific need. Frustrated that there is no pathway to getting things done the easy way.

But if everything were easy, there wouldn’t be room for trailblazers like Heather Angstreich, the mother of a special needs child diagnosed in 2006 with Autism. She, unlike many parents, was able to find the resources she needed for her child with ease. Other parents, so I’m told, aren’t. This is why she started the quarterly resource guide Special Needs 4 Special Kids.

Special Needs 4 Special KidsWexford Financial Strategies and Expos Your Business presents the Long Island Special Needs Expo designed to unite the Long Island special needs community for a FREE, fun-filled and informative day.

Families will have an opportunity to explore programs, products, and activities in Long Island, geared specifically to those with a wide range of special needs. The goal is to empower families with the knowledge and expertise necessary to achieve success and happiness in their lives.

On her website, Angstreich says, “It’s hard enough raising typical children, it’s even harder to raise a child or children with any kind of special need.” Wow, is she ever right about that

"Our hope is that this resource guide helps you find what you need when you need it. We have two goals and they are both equally important. One goal is to help our clients help our families. They offer a product or service aimed at special needs kids because they want to help and make a difference. We want our readers to find out about our clients so they can make educated decisions for their child(ren) and their family.”
