Stress and Heart Disease

Stress can seriously impact your cardiovascular health. 

Stress produces cortisol. Those with elevated cortisol levels are more likely to be at risk for cardiovascular disease. 

Research has proven that doing activities such as yoga or anything that relaxes your mind and body will help to relieve stress and in turn will reduce cortisol levels over time, decreasing the risk for cardiovascular disease.
