RVC auto body shop owner holding auction for golf foursomes to benefit Sunrise Day Camp.

The owner of a Rockville Centre auto body shop is currently holding an online auction to benefit Sunrise Day Camp, which provides a getaway for children with cancer and their siblings.

Robert Jesberger, owner of Mid-Island Collision, hopes to raise additional funds by auctioning off four golf foursomes that he sponsored for $25,000 to the Seventh Annual Samuel Levine Memorial Golf Classic, which takes place on Aug. 12. Half of the foursomes will be played at Rockaway Hunting Club while the other half will be played at Rockville Links Golf Club. The foursomes also includes breakfast and dinner at Seawane Country Club and lunch provided at each of the two courses. The auction, which can be found at midislandcollision.com/charity, ends on Aug. 8.

“Sunrise Day Camp is helping ease the burdens of families who have had the unthinkable happen to their young children,” Jesberger said. “The financial and emotional strain on families dealing with childhood cancers is staggering and being able to help in both regards is truly the most fulfilling feeling.”
