- In case you missed it, the Hispanic Brotherhood of Rockville Centre will be competing in Capital One Bank’s first-ever Financial Literacy Challenge at the Hofstra University Club Thursday evening.
- Former South Side soccer star Crystal Dunn has been making national headlines lately. Come back today at 11 a.m. to find out what one of Rockville Centre's all-time greats has been up to.
- Speaking of soccer, the South Side varsity boys team will take on Floral Park at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Skelos Field. The varsity girls team travels to North Shore High School for a 4:45 p.m. start on Friday.
- Mercy Medical Center will be holding a free presentation on breast cancer on Oct. 10 at the Freeport Memorial Library. Make sure you put it on your calendar now.
- If you haven't seen, our goal is to have 800 Facebook fans by the end of September. We hit a big milestone last Friday when we reached the 750 mark and we've gone up quite a few since then, but we'll need your help to reach 800.
