PREVIEW: Tuesday's RVC Schools Public Budget Work Session
Here's a look at what the board of ed will be discussing on Feb. 5.
The Rockville Centre Board of Education will hold a public work session on the budget Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 6 p.m. in the board room of the district office at 6 p.m., at which time the board is expected to immediately retire into executive session.
At 7:30 p.m., the board will reconvene in public session in Room 112 of South Side High School.

A. Placement of Students
The Committee on Preschool Special Education recommends Board approval for Case Numbers, 440071, 369495029, 369494257, 369492435, 369492435, 369493604, 369494820, 36949t447, 369492069, 369493543, pursuant to Chapter 853 of the Laws of 1976.
B. Placement of Preschool Students
The Committee on Preschool Special Education recommends Board approval for Case Numbers, 369495385, 369495393, pursuant to Chapter 243 of the Laws of 1989.
C. Resolution Pertaining to SEQRA Determination for Bond Issue
RECOMMENDED ACTION: “that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Rockville Centre Union Free School District Board of Education approves the following resolution:”
WHEREAS, the Board of Education desires to embark upon the 2013 Bond Referendum (Project), listed in attachment A hereto; and
WHEREAS, Said Project is subject to Classification under the State Environmental Quality Review Act and '
WHEREAS, the Board of Education, as the only involved agency, has examined all information related to the Project and has determined that the project as a Whole listed in attachment A hereto is classified as an Unlisted Action as defined by Section of the SEQRA Regulations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education hereby declares itself lead agency in Connection with the requirements of SEORA; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby declares that the Project on attachment A hereto is an Unlisted Action and based on the information and analysis performed in the Short and Full Environmental Assessment Forms prepared, the proposed action will not result in any significant environmental impacts and therefore requires no further review under SEQRA; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board otEduoatior1 hereby shall forward en official Copy of this Resolution to the New York State Education Department together with the Correspondence from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation in Connection with its request for approval of said projects from the New York State Education Department, as well as a copy of the signed New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation Project Review Exemption Based on the Letter of Resolution for the remaining items.
D. Appointment of Board of Registration
It is recommended that the following Resolution be adopted for the School year 2012-13:
RESOLVED, that the following persons are appointed as Chairpersons, Inspectors and Registrars of the Board of Registration effective July 1, 2012 through thirty days after the 2013 Annual Election and Budget Vote:
