Oct. 18: Huge Soccer Win, Blood Drive

- The Jericho Jayhawks boys soccer team had surrendered just one goal this season and hadn't lost in 24 games dating back to last season (including a state championship) -- that was until the South Side Cyclones scored in the eighth minute Wednesday afternoon and held off the Jayhawks attack for a huge 1-0 upset win. South Side senior Mark Romanowski scored the game's only goal.
- South Nassau Communities Hospital is hosting an emergency blood drive today from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. To schedule an appointment to donate blood, call South Nassau’s Human Resources Department at (516) 632-4080. For medical questions concerning blood donations call 1-800-688-0900.
