Business Q&A: The Beach House
This South Park Avenue restaurant is the ultimate summer dining destination.
Since its grand opening in March, The Beach House has seen a steady flow of diners and night owls at its restaurant and bar. Here, manager Kristen D’Ambrosio dishes on the friendly service, the live music and the lobster rolls.
What are some of your most popular menu selections?
We serve everything from wings to steak to truffled macaroni and cheese. Our lobster rolls are amazing and the paninis are great. On weeknights, we offer different specials at discounted prices. We have Taco Tuesdays, Wine and Tapas Night on Wednesdays and Northern Fried Chicken Night on Thursdays.

How is the bar scene after hours?
After the dinner crowd leaves, we clear out the tables to make room for the dance floor. We have 15 flat screen televisions that play the music video for every song the DJ spins. By midnight, it gets so crowded in here that you can’t even walk! But if you just want to relax and take a break from the crowd, we have a back patio with tables, which is more for chilling out. We also just started Ladies Night after 10 p.m. on Thursdays.

Will you be offering any specials once the summer ends?
We’re actually going to be running a bus from the restaurant to the Jets games all throughout football season. People can sign up and we’ll provide the food and drinks. We also change the menu every season, so our customers can look forward to some exciting new offerings this fall.
What makes Rockville Centre a good spot for The Beach House?
The people around here are great and everyone is very social. It’s amazing how many people you see just walking down South Park Avenue on any given night. We’re also been lucky because people already know about The Beach House brand because we have another restaurant in Long Beach.
What do you hope customers take away from their experience?
We just want them to feel like they have escaped their day. We have palm trees out in the back, we have great tropical drinks, and our staff is so friendly. We want our customers to really relax and take a break here.
