Two acts of robbery were also included in the indictment.

If convicted, Perryman faces a sentence of life imprisonment, police said.

The indictment is the result of a three-year investigation and the efforts of the Rockville Centre Police Department detectives, acting with the F.B.I. Long Island Gang Task Force.

Rockville Centre Police Commissioner Charles Gennario thanked the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the F.B.I. Long Island Gang Task Force, and the Nassau County Police Department for their assistance and contributions to this case.

“Our number one goal is to keep our residents safe and this indictment is a big step in accomplishing that objective,” Gennario said. “The Rockville Centre Police Department wants to thank all of our partners in this case, and I particularly want to express my appreciation for the efforts of the F.B.I., the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and our colleagues at the Nassau County Police Department.”
