This presentation, by Brendan Dolan, will examine the development of the area as a distinctively Irish destination, and some of the factors that have led to its relative decline. In addition, it will examine the role of traditional music in the region as a reflection of the tastes of the Irish and Irish-Americans who created the phenomenon of the Irish Catskills.
