Rockville Centre Mayor Francis X. Murray joined with the Rockville Centre Conservancy and volunteers to conduct a "Spring Clean-Up" of Centennial Park last weekend.
The mission of the Rockville Centre Conservancy is to identify local public spaces that need attention and gather volunteer support and private funding.
Once that's done, the conservancy works with the village government to restore and enhance trees, parks and public spaces throughout Rockville Centre.
The conservancy recently announced that, in a joint sponsorship between the Village of Rockville Centre and Molloy College, it would establish a community organic garden on Jefferson Avenue, near Associated Supermarket.
