The benefits of practicing yoga have helped the ancient Indian meditation art spread in the United States, and you can see the popularity of it right here in RVC. Although a few yoga studios call Rockville Centre home, Divine Yoga has built a real sense of community over the past ten years. Most of the yogis are local residents who have practiced there for years, although the studio welcomes students of any level.

Arlene Lucas, director and founder of Divine Yoga, focuses on each individual, as well as their their ability and fitness level. She continues to cultivate a friendly, engaging and interactive atmosphere. All classes explore a blend of postures, breathing and meditation techniques that enable students to reach and expand their potential.

Divine Yoga's focus on Kundalini yoga is unique in Rockville Centre. Arlene explains that, "Kundalini Yoga has been taught for thousands of years, and revealed to the West in recent decades by the master Yogi Bhajan," she said. "It's a sacred science that is surprisingly simple to learn and when practiced regularly, it can strengthen the nervous system, balance the glandular system and harness the energy of not only our bodies, but of our minds and emotions."
