The Friends of Mercy Medical Center have announced that its 32nd Annual Golf Classic will be held on Monday, July 22, at the Rockville Links.
The event will honor Brian T. Joesten, a business manager with Verizon Communications. Joesten has been a member of The Friends of Mercy since 2005 and was president in 2010, he has been a fervent supporter of Mercy Medical Center.
This year the Golf Classic will be chaired by Michael J. Boranian of Rockville Centre, Partner at Montfort, Healy, McGuire & Sally in Garden City.
“I’m looking forward to a successful Golf Classic, we have a great committee and their enthusiasm will help make this a fantastic event,” Boranian said.
Proceeds from this event will support Mercy's Mother/Baby Services and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the only such facility on the south shore of Nassau County. Mother/Baby Services are at the core of Mercy's mission and the money raised at this Golf Classic helps to make it possible for the hospital to assist mothers and babies throughout our communities, including the less fortunate and the uninsured.
