Dec. 11: Creative Writing Workshop at Library, Breakfast with Santa at St. Agnes

Take a look at what's going on around RVC this Saturday.

1. Did you miss Nutcracker Ballet performance at ? No worries, the Leggz dance group, along with dancers from the New York City Ballet, Alvin Ailey Repertory Company, Ballet Hispanico of New York, Les Grands Ballet Canadiens and the Joffrey Ballet School, are performing two shows today at the Nassau County Museum of Art at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. 

Admission is $45 for adults (members, $35) and $25 for children (members, $20) and includes light refreshments and museum admission. Attendance is strictly limited. To buy tickets, click here.

2. Did your children meet Santa yet? Kris Kringle will be at St. Agnes Elementary School today for a meet and greet for kids in Kindergarten to first grade.

3. Are your kids frustrated because it's too cold to play outside? RVC Lanes on Maple Avenue is offering free bowling lessons for kids six and up from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. today. Call 516-678-3010 if you plan on heading down.

4. If your adolescent teen needs a forum to spread their creative  literary wings, head down to the RVC Library at 3 p.m. for its Writer's Workshop. The workshop is open for RVC library cardholders entering grades 7-12.

5. Check out the South Side High School basketball team today at 2 p.m. when they take on 2009 state semifinalist Newburgh at Uniondale High School.
