Curbside Leaf Collections Begins Today, Nov. 14
Leaves may now be collected into ordinary plastics bags and put at the curb on pick-up days for recycling.
Rockville Centre's curbside leaf collections will begin Nov. 14 and end Friday, Dec. 23.
Leaves no longer have to be placed in special leaf bags. They may now be collected into ordinary plastics bags and put at the curb on pick-up days for recycling by the Village’s sanitation contractor, Omni.
Bagged leaves will be collected from the curbstrip on the following schedule:

- Mondays – South of Sunrise Highway
- Tuesdays – North of Sunrise Highway and east of Long Beach Road
- Wednesdays – North of Sunrise Highway, west of Long Beach Road, east of Hempstead Avenue to DeMott
- Thursdays – North of Sunrise Highway and west of Hempstead Avenue
Please note the following holiday exception:
Pick-up for Thursday, Nov. 24, Thanksgiving Day, will be rescheduled to Friday Nov. 25.
