Rockville Centre Mayor Fran Murray and Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino stood at the starting line of the Rockville Centre Run and blew the official starting horn, signaling to race participants that the 36th annual was to begin.
The Rockville Centre Run, organized by the village's Parks & Recreation Department, is made up of three races in which runners compete: the 10K Run, the 5K Run, and the 1 mile Family Fun Run. The course is timed at the Finish Line by Road Race Technicians using Chronotrack Timing Technology.
