Please, Danny boy send them a letter and tell them we don't need any real scientific researchRead More because you've got it all figured out. Are you invested with the apricot-pit-charlatans in Mexico by any chance?

Daniel, can you share how you've arrived at that perspective?

@Kathleen: So sorry for your loss. Very happy to hear that you're walking in this year's eventRead More though -- I think it's going to be a great turnout.

All the need to do is ask the people they already know - I know they are waiting

Both of my daughters have attended United for nursery school. I have always been delighted with theRead More warmth and love that goes into each day, making my girls feel happy, safe and secure. I have also been impressed with everything Mrs. Burke has done, as the new director, to better and improve the school and the programs. So I decided to sign my little one, Grace, up for the summer camp. She couldn't wait to get there each morning and cried on the days she didn't have camp! Grace came home from camp talking about the teen volunteers like they were her new best friends! I appreciated all the attention they gave her, she really looked up to them. Grace was very sad when camp was over and said, "I wish camp was all year long!". So I'd like to thank the wonderful teen volunteers and teachers for helping Grace have such a wonderful summer camp experience. I wish all the teens a wonderful school year and hope to see them again next summer!

@EJ, There was a previous patch article where the grant writer's stipend was posted. I don'tRead More want to quote the incorrect amount. I think this is the second grant they received, they got one from TOH for breathing tanks last year.

Thank you for posting this information. Just emailed Debra with some additional questions that IRead More have. Just perhaps my Brooklyn knowledge is what the county needs to teach them how to turn a profit in this business....

A touching good deed by some awesome young men. Reminds us that are a lot of great kids in the SSHSRead More class of 2012

Frank, they don't care. They think wind and solar (and a little hydro) will power our currentRead More economy, plus power 150 million electric cars by 2030. They are certifiable nut jobs.
Ron March 13, 2013 at 04:25 pm
I can guarantee you with 100% certainty that not single one of these 70 protesters have visited theRead More region that could be fracked or talked to a person who lives in the region that could be fracked. This is all about stopping natural gas drilling because it competes with wind or solar. Nothing else. God could come down from the sky and say fracking is safe, and it wouldn't change their minds.

Everyone should thank the Hempstead Lake State Park Alliance for the outstanding work they do (withRead More a check). http://hlspa.org/ They have done a tremendous job to contain the pollution, especially in South Pond. BTW, South Pond wouldn't be that bad if the cops would simply start issuing tickets for littering. Don't read about many littering felons on Patch. Maybe we should start... a little shame goes a long way. But really, Albany needs to step up. It would be nice if the New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation department spends a little money to update the park instead of blowing their budget on upstate projects. We can stand some arboring, trail clearing, upgrades to security and safety, and enforcement against illegal dumping. HLSPA can't do it alone (it's volunteer). Skelos, ask Cuomo to open his wallet. Funny how we blame our brothers and sisters for the ills of RVC and Nassau County when Albany is truly to blame. We send Billions more than we receive while our infrastructure crumbles before our eyes. Albany is no friend of Nassau County.

@Scott C We will be posting it there also.

This information should also be posted in the Rockville Centre Patch as RVC residents use HempsteadRead More Lake park as well. Is there plans to do a cleanup for Hempstead Lake (south of the parkway)? The amount of plastic and garbage along the shores there is mind boggling

The Rosicrucian Knights Templar are Masonic. This order is non-Masonic, and dates back to theRead More original Crusade Templars. (I have been a mason for over 25 years as well).
Question February 26, 2012 at 01:32 pm
It did help Thanks. So its a Masonic Group. Name is quite the throwback, just sayin. :))
Bob Hughes February 19, 2012 at 05:09 pm
Would you like the answer to that question in a nutshell? As the Grand Prior of the KnightsRead More Templar for the USA, I think I can help... We are following the the descendants of the original Knights dating back to 1129 A.D. Historically the Templars were the protectors of the Catholic Church during the crusades. Today Supernous Ordo Equester Templi symbolically turns "protecting of pilgrims travelling to the Holy Land in the name of God" into charitable deeds of good towards our fellow man. But being a Templar Knight is not for the faint of heart. You have to be willing to give of yourself at all times. Knights must be armed with the tools, and resources necessary to assist in times of crisis, and to not only lead the way, but to set an example of what it means to be a silent hero. And all of this without seeking thanks for your actions. When the final battle is fought, it will be God who will reward his servants. Our numbers have grown expodentially over the decades, and span the globe to include people from all walks of life who are dedicated to "giving back" in the name of God. I hope this helps...
