With all the muggings, knifing, shootings, hand to hand drug transactions along Maple Ave and Old…Read More Mill Court and the Crypts Blood Gand running rampant across town why would the village waste valuable man power to inforce seatbelt viloations? There is real crime happening in this village on a daily basis that needs to be addressed before we worry about seatbelt violations.

Thank the Lawd Big Bro is looking out for us!

What has been established in the first case? In my view, comments regarding the Roxen case would be…Read More far different if the boys were from the other side of town. That's all. Crime is crime. It's interesting how quickly all of the details have been established in the second case, but the original ones are still fuzzy! A little odd.

I am not interested in associating these two issues with race. I am focusing on the acts. In one…Read More incident an adult escalated a situation that never should have happened. He shouldn't have been attacked though if that is what happened. That really hasn't been established. I will leave it to the police to determine that. In the other incident two boys looked for someone to rob. In the process they injured someone too. There was intent from the beginning there. That's it.

"Make the kids do community service or send them to juvy hall" How about charging them as…Read More adults and sentencing them to the max. Is anybody held accountable for their actions anymore?

And Kathleen Rice aka "mrs. Softee" will have these punks back on the streets in no time.

This is absolute bull. You need martial law declared for Lakeview. Absolutely no one in that…Read More hamlet cares about the safety of its residents or its neighbors. If it was up to me I'd pave over that whole area and donate it to NYS as an addition to Hempstead Lake State Park.

So who is going to take his place when he goes to The Graybar Hotel? There is ALWAYS someone to step…Read More up to the plate.
That RVC guy May 10, 2013 at 09:39 am
Frank, not only does Skelos support this cycle of dysfunction (as we all work feverishly to protect…Read More our kids from it) he voted with Cuomo to limit the magazine capacity of active and retired police officers before he ever read the bill!
Anyone want to guess how many illegal firearms will be stopped from flowing into OMC by this legislation? ZERO.
Disarm the good guys....coddle the dysfunctional, whilst doing nothing to change the cycle of entitlements.
THis is a Republican? Skelos, you are in for a rude awakening come next election.

Hey Frank. Your original comment may no longer make sense to Patch readers as my comment regarding…Read More the 80 year old couple being charged $2000.00 for the North Shore ambulance to transport them to the hospital was apparently removed from the comment thread. Obviously the Patch is not a forum for free speech.

Not so fast Frank. The March 13th edition of the Rockville Centre Herald reported that the Village…Read More is, in fact, installing security cameras ON POLICE HEADQUARTERS! It is gratifying to know that we will have the most crime free police headquarters on Long Island. I know that I'll sleep better knowing that our Police Officers will be spared the muggings and vehicle break-ins that have plagued our Village of late.

I happen to know one of the agents who has kicked in the doors of Old Mill Court twice in the last 2…Read More years locking up its inhabitants on federal weapons, durg and murder charges. It may disgust you further to know that these animals are only paying a whopping $48 per month which includes cable, heat and grounds maintenance (by the way many of them are behind in their $48 rent payments). Yes, the parking lot does look something like a luxury used car dealership and on the inside are the latest video games, computers and giant flat screen TV's. These people are supposed to be earning something like 1/2 the medium income to be eligible to live there but have all the luxuries items available to mankind. The RVC Housing Authority needs to go in there and audit everyone of those units and clean house for income violations and friends or family members of convicted felons as its in the by-laws that they are not allowed to live there. Think about it people their kids are going to school w/ your kids. What kind of influence are these people having on your childern. We only need to look west to see what RVC is going to turn into if nothing is done about the cesspool which is Old Mill Court.

It's criminal when Section 8 tenants are driving expensive cars and wear expensive clothing. Take a…Read More look at a parking lot at a Section 8 facility. It's like a car dealership in Beverly Hills. I'm all for someone getting benefits if needed but when you see someone "paying" for food at a supermarket with a public benefit card wearing expensive clothing, a Louis vouitton purse talking on an iPhone, that to me is criminal. It's what's wrong with society.

Actually Robert's father, Robert Senior, got the warnings for a dog barking and a noisy party over…Read More the 42 years of their residence.I hope the police are more accurate in the future and do a better job of research.

Folks,
Keep it civil on the comment thread. Thank you.
Fred Stapleman April 29, 2013 at 03:52 pm
Wrong again RVCLifer, another statement based on nothing but speculation. Good thing you did'nt…Read More "wager" on that one either. It's too bad your still making erroneous assumptions, but nice to see you dropped the name calling.
