<p>St. Mark's Cooperative Nursery School opened its doors in September of 1968. In 1976, it became the first cooperative nursery school in Nassau County to be registered by the New York State Department of Education.</p>
<p>The non-profit organization is operated by the parents who send their children (ages three to five) to the school. St. Mark's offers a variety of classes, from colors and shapes for three-year-olds, to letters and numbers for five-year-olds. The school is currently run by Shirley Perri.</p> <p>St. Mark's Cooperative Nursery School is located in the basement of St. Mark's United Methodist Church.</p>
