SHA Commemorates 9/11 at Beth Logler Garden

Students gather at garden to remember Sacred Heart alum killed in Sept. 11 attacks.

Seniors at Sacred Heart Academy recently gathered with Sister Joanne Forker in a school garden dedicated to SHA alum Elizabeth (Beth) Logler. Logler, a graduate from the class of 1987, worked as a Vice President of investor relations at eSpeed, a division of Cantor Fitzgerald, and was killed on Sept. 11.

“We continue to pray for Beth and her family, and all our family and friends who were so violently lost that day,” said Sister Joanne Forker, principal at Sacred Heart Academy. A prayer was offered on Friday at the school.

The garden was dedicated in the fall of 2003 and is a special place on the SHA grounds.
