What's Your Fondest Mariano Rivera Moment?

Rivera was taken out of his last game at Yankee Stadium by longtime teammates Derek Jeter and Andy Pettite.

On Thursday night, Mariano Rivera appeared for the last time ever on the Yankee Stadium mound.

Widely renowned as the best closer of all time, Rivera, as he did all those years, entered the game and retired all the batters to face him. With two outs in the ninth and the Yankees losing, pulling him made all the sense in the world so he could get a proper sendoff from the crowd.

But it wasn't Joe Girardi, Rivera's manager, who emerged from the dugout, but longtime teammates Derek Jeter and Andy Pettite. Rivera, not known for showing emotion throughout the years, shared embraces with his fellow Yankees before walking off to cheers from the crowd.

That wasn't all. The fans demanded a curtain call, and they got it.
