Team Carvel Wins 2011 RVC Little League Softball Championship
Takes Minor League title with 10-9 win over Team Art & Flower Shoppe.
Team Carvel defeated Team Art & Flower Shoppe, 10-9, on Wednesday to capture the 2011 Rockville Centre Little League Minor League Softball championship.
The team of eight, nine and ten-year-olds was comprised of Alexis Morgan, Gianna Mauro, Amy Steidle, Devin McCarthy, Shannon Bender, Emma Wagner, Caroline Dooney, Emma Waite, Sam Mehrkens, Maggie O'Connell, Madison Messina, Caitlin Sullivan and Emma Cuccurullo.
The team was coached by Pete Steidle, Tom Wagner, Ed Dooney and Kevin Morgan.
