South Side Competes in Track and Field Championships

Liz Textor took first place in the high jump.

The 2011 Nassau County Track and Field Championship kicked off on May 24 at Cold Spring Harbor High School for an exciting two-day event to crown the top competitors in multiple events for three separate classes (AAA, AA, A).

“This event has been very well received and we were fortunate to get this facility to host," said Tournament Director Bob Bush. "The teams have been great, the competition has been great and the times have been great. There were a lot of people to come out and just to see the support that the parents give their kids is really great as well.”

Here's how South Side fared in the County Championship.
