Local Lions Walk for Diabetes Awareness

Members of the Nassau County Lions Clubs along with their friends and family will be participating in the "Strides" Walk for Diabetes Awareness on April 16.

The Lions will be walking to raise awareness of health and the obstacles of being diagnosed with diabetes, and how to prevent and deal with this condition.

The walk is about 2 miles long and people from all over the country are encouraged to participate. Any donations will be accepted and greatly appreciated, and will be used to send children with diabetes to a special camp in the summer where they will learn more about their condition and how to cope.

All are welcome!

Registration is required and begins at 9am at the Riverside Boulevard boardwalk in Long Beach.
