Where to Get Absentee Ballots for May 15 Budget Vote and Election

Ballots must be submitted to the RVC School district clerk by May 15 at 5 p.m.

Can't make it to the polls on May 15?

Absentee ballots for the Rockville Centre Board of Education and Library Board Trustee election, as well as the May 15 budget votes for the district and library, can be had through the district clerk’s office located at 128 Shepherd St.

Residents are eligible to use an absentee ballot if they can't appear due to an illness or disability; are outside Nassau County due to ordinary duties, occupation or business; are outside the county due to special circumstances not usual to duties: occupation, business or studies, vacation, spouse, parent or child accompanying voter entitled to absentee ballot; detained or confined in jail or prison.

An application for an absentee ballot may be obtained at the district office by calling (516) 255-8921, or may be downloaded from the school district’s website.

An absentee ballot may be used for voting in the election for two school board members, two library trustees, and voting on the school and library budgets.

For a ballot to be mailed to an eligible voter, an application must be received by the district clerk at least seven days before the election. An application may also be picked up in person in the office of the district clerk no later than the day before the election.

The ballot itself must be received in the office of the district clerk by 5 p.m. on May 15.
