Lady Lions Take Second

The duo of junior Alexandra Barrett and freshman Caitlin Breen posted an eighth-place time of 51:58.51 in the 2 x 6,000-meter relay to propel Molloy's women's cross country team to a second-place finish in the Division II/III race at the Hofstra University Invitational at Bethpage State Park on Saturday morning.

The Lions finished with 19 points, only five points behind St. Joseph's College for first place.

Head Coach Al Kilfoyle and the Lions return to action in two weeks when they head to nearby Brookville for the C.W. Post Invitational. The race starts at 10:30 a.m.
