Sheila Kelly-Carberry of Rockville Centre is among three athletes who will be inducted into the 2012 Hall of Fame class at Molloy College.
Kelly-Carberry was a standout for the soccer and softball teams from 1995-98. On the pitch, she accumulated 138 points, a Molloy all-time mark, off of 61 goals and 36 assists. Kelly-Carberry also attempted 147 shots in 47 total appearances.
In the Lions' record book, her name can be spotted everywhere, and anywhere. She ranks as the program's all-time single-season record holder for goals, goals per game, points, points per game, shots and shots per game.
Meanwhile, on the softball field, Kelly-Carberry had the same type of success. She was a lifetime .401 hitter, with 11 big flies and 178 RBI. The Rockville Centre native also added 165 runs scored, to go along with a .606 slugging, and a .455 on-base percentage.
Like her efforts in soccer, Kelly-Carberry achieved great milestones with the bat as well. She presently owns the Lions' single-season records for triples (11) and RBI (73), and ranks in the Top-5 all-time for a career in eight statistical categories.
