School Summer Program Teaches Kids Array of Classes

Around 400 students in grades K-8 participated in this year's RVC Schools Summer Enrichment Program.

Under the direction of Principal Therese Cohen, around 400 students in grades K-8 participated in this year's RVC Schools Summer Enrichment Program and was once again a huge success.

The program, which ran from June 27 to Aug. 2 at South Side Middle School, had students participating in three, one hour-long classes each day run mostly by district teachers and teaching assistants.

Classes included Cooking Around the Globe, Art-A-Rama, Cartooning and Illustration, Basketball, Tennis, Gymnastics, Super Scientists and Navigating the iPad to name just a few.

At Visitor's Day on Aug. 1, parents came to see their children's classes in action. A good time was had by all!
