The Rockville Centre School District has canceled classes Tuesday due to Hurricane Sandy.
The cancellation marks the second straight day that there have been no classes in the district.
The school district said residents should continue to check its webpage throughout the day for further information.

RVC Mayor Francis X. Murray declared a state of emergency for the village earlier Monday, ordering all businesses in the village to close by 3 p.m. and no vehicles to park on village streets until Wednesday, Oct. 31.
