UPDATE: RVC Schools Closed Again Monday

Parents reporting classes canceled for sixth straight day.

The St. Agnes Cathedral School will also be closed for all students Monday, Nov. 5.

After cancelling classes all of last week due to Hurricane Sandy, the Rockville Centre School District has announced that classes have been canceled again Monday.

Multple parents have reported on the RVC Patch Facebook page that they received a call around 4:30 p.m. Sunday announcing the district's decision to cancel classes.

Another parent said that schools would be opened Tuesday, but for voting only -- the decision about Tuesday has not yet been confirmed with the RVC School District.

The school district reported late Friday that that all buildings made it through Hurricane Sandy without any major damage and power had been restored.
