Middle School Track to be Repaired

The Rockville Centre School District has awarded a bid to fix the running track at South Side Middle School.

The board of education on Monday awarded the project to the “lowest responsible bidder,” KJB Industries, Inc., for $134,431. There were three bidders. The work is described as “repairs and resurfacing.”

According to Assistant Superintendent of Business and Personnel Robert Bartels, “the bid awarded came in under budget and the work is starting this week. They are anticipating completing the work by the opening of school in September pending weather delays.”
