The rally will be held on Saturday, June 15, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Intersection of Sunrise Highway and Ocean Avenue in Lynbrook.

If enacted by the legislature, the Women’s Equality Act will "achieve pay equity, stop sexual harassment, prevent pregnancy discrimination in all workplaces, strengthen human trafficking laws and protections for domestic violence victims, end family status discrimination and protect a woman’s freedom of choice."

The bill would codify existing Supreme Court law to protect a woman’s right to obtain an abortion prior to viability, or when necessary to protect her life or health, according to the proposed legislation.

Skelos is strongly opposed to Governor Cuomo's bill, saying it would lead to too many late term abortions, WNYC reported.
