On Aug. 18 at 12:29 a.m., a complainant from Hillside Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between Aug. 18 at 2:30 p.m. and Aug. 19 at 12:29 a.m., unknown person(s) damaged a side door, entered her residence, and stole $2,340 from a second-floor bedroom.

After months of anticipation, — located at the site of the old Waldbaum's on Sunrise Highway — opened its doors for the first time, hosting a special grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Aug. 25.

Rockville Centre Mayor Francis Murray took part in the ceremony, as customers lined up as early as 7 a.m. to get their first look at the new supermarket on the corner of Sunrise Highway and Ocean Avenue.
