Ocean Avenue Paved, Lines to Come

A major part of the Ocean Avenue's resurfacing project was completed this week.

The stretch of the main Malverne street from just south of the Southern State Parkway to Merrick Road was repaved, thus completing a major part of the project that began just a few weeks ago.

The project will improve the intersection of Merrick Road and Ocean Avenue while repaving most of the stretch of road between the Southern State Parkway and Sunrise Highway, according to the county.

Next, crews will paint traffic lines on the road. Until then, drivers are asked to use caution when navigating the street, particularly at night.
