The East End region was crippled as Hurricane Sandy tore down trees and power lines and flooded North and South Fork beaches. In the wake of the recovery, the news is moving so fast it may be hard to keep track.

gutless weak stupid they should QUIT yup thats the HIGHway DEPT responsible for almost killing a lot of people putting up just ONE pylon on PBB going to the Bridge underwater....we almost died and waved off m,any others during the harrowing night

hey ft channel 12 said that there was an 11 ft storm surge heading directly at my home on pbb they also said 'that main road' was closed from laurel lane to albertsen...what would you have done...we were going to higher ground.. doesnt excuse the gutless hgwy folks for not having the proper signage out for warnings
